3rd Mehmetcik Cultural Festival

The Mehmetcik cultural festival takes place immediately before the grape festival. The programme is as follows.
Saturday 25th July
8pm procession followed by traditional fair.
9.30pm. Film festival opens with Mehmetcik documentary.
9.45pm. Traditional folk dancing.
Sunday 26th July
9pm. Traditional Karagoz shadow puppets.
9.45pm. Istanbul's Andac Theatre's acrobatics and tomfoolery.
10.30pm. Local groups perform modern dance and live music.
Monday 27th July
9pm. BRT special
Tuesday 28th July
9pm. A history of Cyprus cinema.
9.45pm. Dance and ballet.
10.30pm. SOS band concert.
Wednesday 29th July
9pm. Short film "The Jasmine-Perfumed Town".
9.45pm. Mehmetcik traditional grape festival concert
9.45pm. Dionysis wine and poetry reading.
Thursday 30th July
9pm. Movie. "Living in the shadow of life."
9.45. Pop music concert.
