Summer Programme 2009
The internationally acclaimed Dance of Cyprus group have a series of summer spectaculars in North Cyprus this summer. Their show Shadow of Darkness features strong artistic presentations as well as a hard-hitting warning highlighting the perils of drug taking.
The show has taken two years to prepare, but could be staged for many years, because of its universal theme of the dangers associated with drugs.
The group, which is based in Lefkosa, has 30 professionally trained dancers and has been going for 9 years.
Music for the show was composed by he acclaimed Turkish producer Can Atilla.
On the completion of this tour, Dance of Cyprus will travel to London for several performances of The Shadow of Darkness.
